In 2016 Laurens graduated from PXL-Music University College with a degree in Music Technology. After college, he moved to the US to work as an engineer for grammy award-winning producer Peter Katis at Tarquin Studios. There, he got the opportunity to work as a recording engineer for artists such as Kurt Vile, Brian Fallon and They Might Be Giants. During this period he also had the opportunity to learn more about the art of mastering via veteran engineers such as Joe Lambert and Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound NY. After moving back to Belgium at the end of 2017 he decided to focus on mastering. Since then, he has mastered records for various artists such as Whispering Sons, Arsenal, Bluai, Lords of Acid, Stake, Psychonaut, The Guru Guru, Raveyards, Axwell / Ingrosso, Porcelain id, Pauwel, Danny Blue and the Old Socks and many more. When Laurens is not operating from the mastering studio, he's still busy recording or mixing music for various artists. In addition Laurens teaches the craft of recording and mixing at PXL-Music University College in Hasselt. (Belgium)
